The burqa ban has caused many people in the media to speak up and voice their opinions. There are some that support the reasoning of the ban, however, more are shocked by how light of a reasoning is behind the ban. After evaluating the reaction of the media, it's more evident that there's a misunderstanding between Muslims and non-Muslims. Non-muslims have trouble understanding the actual meaning of being a muslim, because of the radical groups that contort the message of the religion. That causes muslims to think that everyone is out to get them, even if they're just normal people. The majority of the people that have spoken up, are upset that the government of these different countries is taking away the rights of these women. Many have brought up the concern that this will cause an even bigger rise of islamophobia. Even though many people are confused as to whether these women are an actual threat, people are still standing up for the rights of these muslim women, even at a time when the world is scared and shocked with the ongoing terror attacks that have been happening and increasing.
